Pancakes, the Flemish way. Make ‘em with a good beer & you’ll taste the difference. Dominatrix approved!
320g self-raising flour
33 cl beer
33 cl milk
1 tbsp cane sugar
50g melted butter
In a large bowl, stir together flour, cane sugar & a pinch of salt. Add beer, eggs & butter and stir until well combined and lump-free. Set aside for 20 minutes (optional if you’re short on time).
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour approx. 1 filled ladle onto the pan, tilt with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Flip the pancake & cook on the other side too. Repeat for remaining batter.
Serve with any sweet topping you like.
