Garlic chicken curry

Into force feeding? This garlic chicken curry will keep you craving for more.

You’ll need

2 onions, chopped
500g chicken breast
4 tsp yoghurt
1/2 tsp red chili powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp lemon juice
4 medium tomatoes
30g cashews
2 tsp oil
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp garlic paste (or 3 garlic cloves)
250ml cooking cream
1 tsp garam masala powder
cilantro for serving


In a mixing bowl, marinate chicken with yoghurt, chili, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt & lemon juice. Set aside for 30 minutes (or overnight) in the fridge.

Blitz tomato & cashews into a puree.

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add oil & butter, then add onion, garlic & garam masala. Saute until the onions are translucent.

Add marinated chicken. Stir fry until the chicken no longer looks pink. Add tomato puree and cream and stir briefly. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until thickened. Serve with rice & chopped cilantro.
